Sewing Instruction:
Helping handmade look beautifully made.

Manitoulin Threads grew from a deep love for the art of sewing and a passion for teaching. My mission is to bridge the gap between 'I'm learning' and 'I'm proud of this,' providing you with the technical skills and confidence to create projects you'll truly love to use and wear.

With 25+ years in the education sector, I bring a personal approach to sewing education. Whether you're mastering a serger or stitching your first garment, I'm here to help you achieve that professional, high-end finish that has everyone asking where you bought it.

Sewing instruction you can trust.

Rooted in Manitoulin Island & Northern Ontario

Manitoulin Threads was born from a desire to make sewing instruction accessible to everyone in the North. I believe that distance shouldn't be a barrier to high-quality craft education. Sewing is my passion that I love to share, and it is a rewarding skill that anyone can learn. Access to supplies and resources can sometimes be a challenge - I have many tips, tricks and resources that I can share so that you have access to all the great things for sewing!

Where We Sew & Learn

Classes are usually held in community venues and local businesses across Greater Sudbury and on Manitoulin Island. This allows me to bring sewing education directly into the heart of the community spaces where you feel most at home.

I also love to travel and am happy to discuss travelling to your location.

Check class listings or confirmation emails for exact venue details.
